Creating a Timeline
Timelines work great for almost any history class.
Your child will enjoy creating one, and will better be able to see the order the
events occurred that were taught in the history book. Take a white piece of
poster board and cut it down the center. You want two long pieces that you can
tape together in the center. Choose a starting date from the earliest event that
is mentioned in your book. Your ending point will be the event that occurred
last. Place as many marks as you need in between the starting and ending points.
Write the dates of the events on top of the marks and the name of the event
underneath the marks. Attach to the wall in your homeschool room with sticky
tack.
